Winter Solstice

December 21, 2016

It is the winter solstice today! This is the day each year when the Sun reaches its lowest declination below the equator. In other words, our Lord in the heavens above ceases his southward movement. This annual phenomenon occurs on the constellation of the southern cross and the sun actually stays at the same point of declination for three days after which he begins his journey northwards towards the equator. This is why the days get longer. The Sun literally dies on the cross and is resurrected three days later!

Soon it will be Christmas! We celebrate Christmas day because the Sun will start moving northwards towards seasons bringing more abundant offerings. This is why we offer gifts symbolic of increasing light and life.

Father Christmas travels with his reindeers because today is the day that the Sun moves into Capricorn. The goat was replaced by the reindeer. Father Christmas's white whiskers are also symbolic of the Capricornian goat's whiskers.

The three wise men were initiates into the ancient mysteries - astrologers, alchemists, magicians. This is how they knew about the birth of Christ. They were aware of his birth location because of astrocartology. Gold, frankincense, and myrrh were offered because of their powerful alchemical properties.

I will issue another blog tomorrow with my analysis of the winter solstice chart which reveals very important information about the next three months.

Happy holidays
